WELCOME to the Home Page of the West Australian Speed
Boat Club web site.
"The
Thunder on the Swan" has been part of the local
boating scene since the club was formed way back in
1949.
The WA Speed Boat Club has raced at Matilda Bay
(Crawley), Coode Street (South Perth) and at Heirisson
Island before moving to their present location - at the
Burswood Water Sports Centre in Camfield Drive, in front
of the Burswood Resort and Casino.
Race meetings are held on the second Sunday of the
month.
Full canteen facilities are available at the picturesque
venue and
a pleasant afternoon's entertainment is assured for all
patrons.
Several different racing classes compete at every
meeting and speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour (160
kilometres per hour) are regularly attained by the top
boats.
Make sure you are a part of this exciting form of
entertainment - right on the doorstep of Perth City.
