WA State Champs Roundup!

Thanks for all those that came down to spectate, help and race today. We got off to a slow start but the racing ended up being great.

Unfortunately we had an incident in the new cruiser class and both drivers are ok.

Congratulations to the following state championship winners.

WA State Champs!

Hi everyone,

State Champs are this Sunday! Practice at 10am, racing starting at 10.30am.

A couple things that weren't brought up at the meeting last night that need to be;

1) Anyone entering a State Championship must have an APBA form filled out and a entry fees paid (ideally already) but Sunday morning. It can be found at http://www.ausapba.com.au/download_index.htm "Race entry form 1"

2) All trophies that were won last year must also be returned on Sunday, so they can be engraved and presented for this seasons winners.

3) We are missing the Graham Hull invitational trophy, so if anyone knows its where abouts, please let us know.

4) We have the water on Saturday afternoon, so if you need or want to practice, please let your boat captains know, so they can organise it.

Seeya all Sunday, nice and early, so we can get racing started early!

WASBC FUND RAISER; LICENSED 6 X 4 TRAILER WITH ASSORTED BEER / WINE & SOFT DRINKS

Dear members / family and friends; Brief update on how its going.

Thank you to all that have collected ticket books / bought tickets and donated cartons towards the trailer. Ticket sales appear to be travelling along quite well, however we still have along way to go. We only have half the amount of tickets out at present. So please if you haven’t as yet got your tickets or require more to sell, get in touch with me, either by email or phone and I can post you some out. Remember there are only 5 tickets to a book at $20.00 each. And as an incentive the person who sells the most tickets by July 12th will win a $100.oo voucher to Choice 1 Liquor.

Also if anyone would like to help the club and donate a carton of beer or bottles of wine / soft drinks etc please give me a call. We are trying to get around 40 assorted cartons in the trailer to make first prize worth while.

Now unfortunately I won’t be at the next meeting, Tuesday 13th May as I will be away. So for those of you needing to get money and ticket butts to me I will be at the Championship Race day Sunday 18th May. After that we will still have 7 weeks to finalise tickets / donations of cartons etc.
